Introducing...

Maura Lily! My future brother-in-law and his wife brought this beautiful little girl into the world last Monday, the 21st. My fiancé and I were fortunate enough to make the trip down to PA to be there when she was born. I shot these pictures and about 200 more within an hour of her being born. It is really amazing how the lens picks up more detail then the eye. The thing that is even more amazing is the complete joy a baby brings. Enjoy.

A Classic Connecticut Wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing Jen & Ali's wedding on May 27th up in the Hartford, CT area. They were a beautiful and fantastic couple to work with. I wasn't sure how the weather was going to turn out especially since the morning was very cloudy and looked as if it was going to storm at any time. Despite the clouds the day turned out to be perfectly clear and sunny, one of the best weather days in a while.

The ceremony was held at the Chapel at the Ethel Walker School in Simsbury and the Reception at the Hartford Golf Club. I took the formal photography at both the school and on the golf course. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from the day. I will have a more complete slideshow posted here later this week.

RJT Pictures Team

The people I couldn't do it without, this is the RJT Pictures team. I am very fortunate to be able to work with a very talented, funny and overall great group of people. In the photos below (in no particular order): Ryan Farnsworth, Susan Magnano, Anthony Ferro, Joseph Sokoloski, Kathleen Haughey (my fiancé' - soon to be wife!) and me, Robert J. Trenske. Missing from the photos is Daniel Basile.

I have wanted to take a group photo for a while now but it is hard to get everyone together. When we finally did get everyone (at least mostly everyone) we thought it would be fun to do some random timer pictures instead of trying to formally pose. I could have done without the double chin and weird look on my face in the bottom one but that is the price you pay for looking straight down at a camera on the ground. I am much better behind the camera than in front of it. They created some pretty interesting shots. Hope you enjoy.

"Livin' on a Prayer"

When setting up the new blog space, I decided to use a picture from a wedding I did in last October for the blog title picture on the top of the page. John & Laura had their reception at the Goodwin Hotel in Hartford. For those of you who have not been there before, it is a beautiful room, a little challenging to photograph due to lighting. I took the picture of John (the groom) and his wedding party who got more than excited when Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer" came on. I think it is a priceless shot, especially with all of the guys wearing the same sunglasses.

Chuck & Erin's Wedding

A friend & former co-worker of mine asked me to photograph his wedding for him. I remember initially meeting with him and his fiancé, Erin, well over a year and a half ago. I can't believe how fast the time flies. Anyways here are some photos from Chuck & Erin's wedding that took place on April 21 at the Crystal Room in Naugatuck. Enjoy.

Our new UPDATED Blog

I have been blogging for a while now and decided that I wanted a fresh look and feel for my blog, so here is the first (but not really) post that I will be writing.

For those of you just tuning in, my name is Robert Trenske and I am a wedding & special event photographer out of Fairfield, Connecticut. I am fortunate enough to be pursuing the field of photography, something that is a true passion of mine. I am the owner of RJT Pictures and have had the pleasure of working with some really great people through my journey so far.

I would like this blog to serve as a place where I can share my work, stories and the many faces that make up wedding photography. I would also like to use this space to announce new things and ideas.

I think it is only fitting to share with you this picture below. This is one of my favorite pictures that I have taken. It is very simple but I think it tells so much. I took this picture a while ago of a great couple in Norwalk, CT. Thank you so much for looking and come back often!
