Kate & Christopher's Engagement

This morning we met my cousin Chris and his fiance Kate at Southern Connecticut State University to shoot their engagement session. I will be photographing their wedding on the fourth of July weekend of next year. Chris and Kate met at Southern while they were in school. Chris (along with being a police officer) works for the athletic department at the university so we had access to all of the fields and athletic buildings. It was a really fun session, here are some of the photos from the day!

Kathleen & Gabe's Pregnancy Session

On Monday we met up with our friends Kathleen and Gabe to shoot a relaxed pregnancy session in Keyport, NJ. They are expecting a girl so we picked up some pink balloons just to have something interesting in some of the photos. We then walked around the town grabbing some fun shots. Jacinda & Juan's Hoboken Engagement

On Sunday, Kathleen and I got up nice and early to head over to Hoboken, NJ to photograph Jacinda & Juan's engagement session. We spent the time with both of them on the Steven's Institute of Technology Campus which is right across the Hudson River offering amazing views of the NYC skyline. Jacinda used to work at Steven's so she knew all of the great places to go. Hoboken has so many amazing textures and places to photograph and Jacinda & Juan were both so much fun to be around. Thank you for a great day.

Meredith & Reid's Wedding

On Saturday we spent an awesome day with Meredith & Reid for their wedding. Their ceremony was at St. Catherine of Sienna in Trumbull and their reception was at the Grassy Hill Country Club in Orange. We started the day at Meredith's parents house in Trumbull. I spent some time taking details shots and while doing so I decided to bring Meredith's wedding dress outside to the backyard. There was a wooden shed back there that I wanted to hang the dress on for photos. Without evan a thought Meredith's dad grabbed a hammer and a nail so I could hang the dress exactly where I wanted it. How awesome is that! Meredith and Reid (and their families) were so much fun to be around, it was so good to see their endless smiles and be surrounded by their warm personalities. Thank you both for letting us capture your day for you! Here are some of the photos from the day. Busy Holiday Weekend

This weekend has been a fun filled few days of shooting! On Saturday we photographed Meredith & Reid's Wedding, on Sunday we photographed Jacinda & Juan's Engagement Session in Hoboken and today we spent the afternoon with Kathleen & Gabe for a pregency / couple session in NJ. Is it someone's birthday today?

I had a couple of people tell me that I should make a slideshow for my birthday today. I decided that I did not want to bore everyone with photos of me growing up but thought I would share at least one picture that I think is kind of fun. Michael & Maren's Engagement

On Sunday I photographed my brother-in-law Michael and his fiance Maren (my soon to be sister-in-law) for their engagement session. The weather called for almost 100% chance of rain so I decided that we would do this session rain or shine and I am so glad that we did. As soon as we started the session, the skies opened up and we had a ton of rain. Kathleen held an umbrella over me and I had bags over my cameras to keep them dry. This session was so much fun. We went all over their town of Sea Bright, NJ and took some really fun shots. This town is filled with so many great textures, I could have shot their all day! We even went to the exact place they met and took some shots there. Just looking at the two of them, you can see how much love they are in.

Jennifer & Krystopher's Wedding

We have had a such a fun and busy weekend these past few days and I am just now getting to blog some photos. On Saturday, Vicki & I photographed Jennifer & Krystopher's Wedding. The ceremony was at St. Rose of Lima Church in Meriden followed by the reception at Cornucopia in Torrington.

A "KISS" for Maura

Our niece Maura is turning 1 this week and Kathleen & I thought of no better gift than an album with pictures from her first year that I photographed. We designed a KISS Album which just so happens to be my first KISS :). They really make a nice book and I am so happy to now be offering these albums along side our beautiful Kambara Albums. Here are a couple photos of the album itself which we had bound in the green leather. I will post some of the spreads from this album in a couple of days.

Tonia & Nick's Wedding

Yesterday Kathleen, Vicki and I photographed Nick & Tonia's wedding and wow what a beautiful day. The weather was perfect and both Nick & Tonia's families were so much fun to be around. This was the first time I photographed a greek wedding and it was so wonderful. The ceremony took place at St. George's Greek Orthodox Church in Norwalk followed by the reception at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. The church was filled with such amazing textures and gorgeous lighting and overall just a beautiful place. At the reception during all of the dances everyone threw dollar bills for good luck. The whole day was filled with such great tradition and family closeness.

Our video guys, Tony & Ryan were also at the wedding to capture their day in video. Thank you so much to both Nick & Tonia and your families for letting us share your day with you, have a great time in Hawaii!!

Today is Tonia & Nick's Wedding!

Well we woke up to a beautiful sunny day which came just in time for Tonia & Nick's Wedding. Today we have a full group of us that are going to photograph as well as video their wedding. We will be in Norwalk for the Ceremony and up at the Aqua Turf Club for the reception. Be sure to check back later tonight or tomorrow for photos from their day. Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad H!!

Our Engagement Anniversary

Today is mine & Kathleen's engagement anniversary. It has been 2 years since I have popped the question (and she made me the happiest man alive) so I decided to share two things with all of you. The first is a slideshow of our engagement session that we had taken in NYC. Kathleen and I look a lot different then because combined we weighed over 100 pounds heavier. We had our pictures taken at Grand Central Station, Central Park and on the Brooklyn Bridge.

The second thing I wanted to share with you is a picture that I took of Grand Central Station on the day I proposed. I proposed in NYC and snapped a photo when we got off the train about 2 hours before I asked Kathleen to marry me. So obviously this picture is very important to us and I think kind of fun. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into our lives :).

Rachel & Geoff's Wedding

Today (actually yesterday, since I am writing this at about 1 in the morning)Kathleen & I along with Danielle from Beyond the Lens Photography (a fantastic second shooter) photographed Rachel & Geoff's wedding up in Danielson & North Stonington, CT. Even though the weather was a little cloudy and sometimes rainy we got some really great shots. I took major advantage of the video light and did some very creative details shots, so be sure to look out for those. If Carla is reading this post, my hope is that she will be proud of my shoe shots! :)

Rachel & Geoff's had their reception at Lake of Isles which is right across the street from Foxwoods Casino. We had such a great time spending the day with them. Congratulations Rachel & Geoff, have an awesome time in Hawaii!!

Shooting Just Because...

Today I decided I need some me time so I went to this place in Fairfield called the Cascades. It is a nature area filled with trails and as you might guess... cascades. I have shot engagement sessions there and Kathleen and I go walking there often. It is so nice and peaceful. I was feeling a little stressed today, so I stepped away from the computer, e-mail and the phone for a while and decided I wanted to take my camera and shoot some things just for me. I felt like shooting a bunch of black and white photos as I love how b/w looks for nature shots. Here are few photos. I think that the first one is by far my favorite.
