I had a couple of people tell me that I should make a slideshow for my birthday today. I decided that I did not want to bore everyone with photos of me growing up but thought I would share at least one picture that I think is kind of fun. So here is a photo of yours truly rockin' out my sailor outfit.
Also Happy Birthday to Mary Marantz who I just found out shares the same birthday as me.

Our Engagement Anniversary
Today is mine & Kathleen's engagement anniversary. It has been 2 years since I have popped the question (and she made me the happiest man alive) so I decided to share two things with all of you. The first is a slideshow of our engagement session that we had taken in NYC. Kathleen and I look a lot different then because combined we weighed over 100 pounds heavier. We had our pictures taken at Grand Central Station, Central Park and on the Brooklyn Bridge.
The second thing I wanted to share with you is a picture that I took of Grand Central Station on the day I proposed. I proposed in NYC and snapped a photo when we got off the train about 2 hours before I asked Kathleen to marry me. So obviously this picture is very important to us and I think kind of fun. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into our lives :).

Snow Day & 100th Blog Post!!
So this week has been filled with so many great things. On Wednesday I went to see Mike Colon and Bob Davis up in Hartford for their "Master Your Craft Seminar". It was so rewarding to see such amazing photographers. Last night I went to my first CT Pug Meeting which is a group made up of professional photographers from around the state. It was great to get to network and I feel so good to know I have such a solid support system. I will post more about both of those things soon.
But first I thought I would share some of my snow day pictures from today. I didn't even know it was supposed to snow so seeing it come down this hard was quite a surprise. I experimented with some new super cool film textures with these images.

Also this is my 100th Blog Post. Thank you so much to those who keep coming back and keeping up on my blog. You are all awesome. Enjoy the day indoors!!

Aidan's Birthday Portraits & Gabe's Police Academy Graduation
It has been a busy weekend for us down in Jersey. I was asked to take some portraits of Aidan (Kathleen's godson) for his 2nd birthday coming up in March. He is at the age where he is now becoming aware of the camera in turn really giving me a challenge. That being said, he is still a ton of fun to photograph. I can't believe how quickly he is growing up.
In addition to taking some portraits of Aidan, I was also asked to take some portraits of our friend Gabe (Aidan's dad) who just graduated from the police academy. I took some of him in front of a backdrop (very formally) as well as some more relaxed photos outside.
Below are some of my favorites from what I photographed today. Tomorrow (Sunday) I will be meeting up with a great couple, Laura & Chris for their engagement session. Be sure to check back for some pictures from their session. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Ferris
Tonight we stopped by my Mike and Bill's (my brother-in-laws) house where they asked me to take pictures of their dog Ferris. Ferris is an incredibly active dog with a great personality and always wants to play. He is actually going to PA tomorrow to make one 7 year old girl very happy. They made the very difficult decision that he would be better off with a family who can give him the attention he deserves.
Ferris is full of expresions and capturing him is some very challenging especially since he thought the camera was one big toy. We will all miss him, but knowing he is making a family so happy will make it a little easier. Here are just some of the shots from tonight.

Flying
Most people don't know my obsession with flying. In fact if I wasn't even more obsessed with photography I would probably be a pilot for a commercial airline. Usually when Kathleen and I are on a flight to anywhere, she tries to fall asleep before take-off and I find a good playlist on my iPod so I can have good take-off music. Below I put a couple of pictures that I took when we were flew to Tampa. I even put together a a few shots of when we were landing, I'm not sure anyone will find these interesting, but it is fun for me.
Whenever flying domestic we always try to go JetBlue. They are a great airline with all the fun toys that I like, DirectTV, XM Radio and lots of good snacks, and of course good service. I highly recommend. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Back from Tampa
So I know I said I would blog a lot earlier but I got so caught up with the ImagingUSA Convention that I got behind. Anyways we saw some incredible photographers while out in Florida. I got to hear talks from Joe Buissink (amazing celebrity wedding photographer), Howard Schatz (out of this world under water photographer), Doug Gordon, Kevin Kubota, David Jay and many others. I meet up with the album company I use, Kambara USA and got to see all the new products and ideas out there in the photography industry. I really have some great things coming up this year, so definetely stay tuned.
But for now, I would like to share some more fun pictures from our trip. We went to this one burger place called Big Mouth Burger where they had amazing onion rings and fries (see below) but also had some very fun artwork on the wall. Tampa to me was like a mix between Miami and New Orleans. There were parts of the town that had cobblestone streets and and modren buildings. I also thought the trolley system was interesting, brought an old school feel to the town.
As always, Kathleen made appearences in some of the photos. Here are some the pics.

The Wedding Photographer's Wedding Photography
So Kathleen & I recently got our wedding photography back from the our photographer Autumn Lin. She did a great job capturing our day and I wanted to share some of the pictures with you. Kathleen looked absolutely amazing and beautiful, I couldn't be luckier.
We got married in NJ. Our reception was at the Shadowbrook, which is this beautiful old mansion. We were lucky to have the most beautiful weather and the perfect day. We were also very lucky to have my assistant photographer Sue capture a bunch of pictures from the day and my good friends Greg and Tony capture the HD video from the day. Enjoy!!

Thanksgiving Here We Come!!
Thanksgiving is definetly one of our favorite holidays. Kathleen and I decided that since this was our first Thanksgiving together as a married couple, we would host it at our place this year. We will be spending Thanksgiving day with my family and Saturday with Kathleen's family. We have been preparing all night. I am in charge of the Turkey which I am brining overnight this year. My mother-in-law tried that last year for Christmas and I highly recommend it. The only downside is that you need to have a container large enough to completly summarge the turkey and it has to fit in the fridge. I ended up buying one of those styrofoam coolers from Stop & Shop and lined it in plastic. It barley fit our 19 pound turkey and the cooler barely fit in our fridge. We had to take one of the shelves out.
Kathleen has been working hard on making her sausage stuffing with the staple Thanksgiving seasoning, Bell's. In addition she has been making her mom's raisin pie, as you can see below she is on the phone getting the recipe. We will also be having 2 different kinds of apple pie from Silverman Farms in Easton. Yum.
We also started the "brew" which is a recipe of different seasonings that you put in a small crock pot with water that my mother in law came up with to make the house smell wonderfully special during the holidays.
I hope everyone has a great, safe and Happy Thanksgiving!!
