Yesterday I photographed Bernadette & Kevin's Wedding which was held at their house in Ridgefield. I began the day by taking some relaxed portraits of the two of them right in their back yard. The sun shining through the trees made for a really beautiful backdrop. It was a nice intimate ceremony with family and close friends. After the ceremony I was taking some group shots and Bernadette had asked me if I had a tripod so that I could be in the photo as well. Of course I did and I was honored to be in a group picture with everyone in attendance. I had such a good time photographing their special day.
Also Valentine's Day is my parent's wedding anniversary, so Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!!
Here are some of the photos from Bernadette & Kevin's day. Happy Friday Everyone!!

Laura & Chris' Engagement
Today on our way back from New Jersey we stopped in Stamford at Cove Island so I could photograph Laura and Chris for their engagement session. I have never photographed at the Cove before but it is certainly a beautiful park. The weather made the session a little more interesting as it was incredibly windy. Laura and Chris were great though and I was able to capture some really great shots of them. Here are a few of my favorites.

Aidan's Birthday Portraits & Gabe's Police Academy Graduation
It has been a busy weekend for us down in Jersey. I was asked to take some portraits of Aidan (Kathleen's godson) for his 2nd birthday coming up in March. He is at the age where he is now becoming aware of the camera in turn really giving me a challenge. That being said, he is still a ton of fun to photograph. I can't believe how quickly he is growing up.
In addition to taking some portraits of Aidan, I was also asked to take some portraits of our friend Gabe (Aidan's dad) who just graduated from the police academy. I took some of him in front of a backdrop (very formally) as well as some more relaxed photos outside.
Below are some of my favorites from what I photographed today. Tomorrow (Sunday) I will be meeting up with a great couple, Laura & Chris for their engagement session. Be sure to check back for some pictures from their session. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Ferris
Tonight we stopped by my Mike and Bill's (my brother-in-laws) house where they asked me to take pictures of their dog Ferris. Ferris is an incredibly active dog with a great personality and always wants to play. He is actually going to PA tomorrow to make one 7 year old girl very happy. They made the very difficult decision that he would be better off with a family who can give him the attention he deserves.
Ferris is full of expresions and capturing him is some very challenging especially since he thought the camera was one big toy. We will all miss him, but knowing he is making a family so happy will make it a little easier. Here are just some of the shots from tonight.

John McCain @ SHU
Today John McCain and his entourage came to Sacred Heart for a presidential rally. I was asked to photograph the event for the university. It was certainly a crazy day. John McCain and his wife Cindy were obviously there along with Joe Liberman among other politicians. Dr. Cernera, (the 2nd photo below) president of Sacred Heart participated in introducing the presidential candidate.
There was tons of state and national press there and I was certainlly not the only photographer. Whenever I photograph events like this, I like to get to a place where no one else is photographing from. It makes my photos more unique and from a different vantage point. I was able to get far above the crowd which gave me a great angle. I got some really great shots that captured the energy and craziness in the room. By the way, just in case anyone is interested, posting these pictures in no way endorses my political views. That being said here are a few photos from the day.

Elizabeth
Today we went up to my parent's house to take photos of our niece Elizabeth. She is about two and a half now and certainly full of expressions and of energy. It was such a nice day out today and the way the sun was coming through the trees was absolutely beautiful. Here are some of the photos from our session.
